Ebisu Sushi Brand

A unique take on sushi restaurants and branding to support.

Ebisu Sushi is a conceptual brand I developed to merge the heritage of Japanese cuisine with a spirit of modern experimentation. The first phase of the design process involved researching existing sushi restaurants and breweries to define the business concept and set a clear creative direction. Drawing inspiration from the way craft breweries have transformed their industry, I designed a visual identity that is both respectful and bold. This campaign encompasses brand collateral, including menus, packaging, wearables, and a mobile pop-up truck.

This work was recognized with two ADDY Awards in the Integrated Brand Campaign category.

THE OPPORTUNITY

A family-led brand offering well-crafted and sustainable clothing, Faherty was built around good times in the sun and waves with great company.

With over 60 storefronts and counting, Faherty is quite literally sweeping the nation with its premium clothing and soft-spot for the environment.

With their newest storefront opening in the RiNo Art District in Denver, CO, the building was in need of a serious facelift. The mural needed to not only tell Denver who Faherty is, but it also needed to stand out in a neighborhood already saturated with iconic murals.

THE SOLUTION

We tailor-made an abstracted scene of rolling waves, warm sun rays and cascading mountain ranges. The abstract and modular design was Inspired by actual pieces of Faherty clothing: we quilted together vignettes of brand textiles, coastal moments and good times in the mountains to create full building mural that was not only representative of Faherty in Denver, but one that stands out and garners the attention of passersby.
